Intake
Ok so I have an intake question.... my friend was going to put an intake on his car, but when he went to the dealership they said not to get one because living in South Florida it is very humid and it rains a lot. With that being said he told my friend not to get the intake because the moisture will get sucked up through the intake and into your engine and cause you even more problems. I was just wondering if this was true or not and also what are some good brands of intakes to get for a Bmw?

Dear Mr. Car questions...
First of all i will say that living in Florida and having a regular (non-cold air) aftermarket intake could raise a few risks. Ill tell anybody that if youre going to buy a part for your car make sure you never take the cheap route for it'll bite you in the ass later. This especially includes exhausts and cold air kits. Always buy top notch, it's worth the extra 100.
And to answer your question...the only logical reason that the guy at the shop said that it might suck up moisture or rain into the filter would be because his intake kit may dip down to the bottom of his engine bay and close to the ground, causing it to suck water from puddles off the ground floor while driving. I've never heard of a cold air kit sucking up moisture... three's a filter on the elbow for a reason.
